About The Program

The social accelerator helps entrepreneurs turn an idea into reality and establish the next social enterprise that will affect our society and improve the student experience on campus.

What is social entrepreneurship?

Social entrepreneurship involves developing innovative solutions to social and environmental problems and implementing them in the real world.
Over the years, graduates of the Social Accelerator have established projects that create a positive impact on our world, including: Shot-tech, Politicaiot-tzeirot, ForStart, Politikal, Nitzanei Tzameret and more.

Tracks

This year, we are offering the opportunity to participate in one of two tracks:

Social Entrepreneurship track - General

Participants in this track will explore environmental and social issues across various domains. The emphasis is on any idea that can improve our society, without being restricted to a specific field.

Social Entrepreneurship track - Diversity

Participants in this track will explore issues related to diversity and inclusion on campus (culturally, socially, and religiously) or will be part of a team with diverse backgrounds. The participants will take part in an orientation day before the program begins and receive guidance from the Unit for Diversity and Inclusion. Two selected teams will receive funding to launch initial pilots at the Hebrew University, with grants of ₪15,000 and ₪10,000 (the funds are provided as reimbursements).
